LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The home of Dr. Dre was the target of an attempted burglary Tuesday night as the legendary rapper was hospitalized with a brain aneurysm, reports say.
According to KABC-TV, cops initally believed the crooks were targeting Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ home, which is also in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The alleged burglars, later found with burglary tools, attempted to get into Dr. Dre’s house around 10 p.m. local time but failed to enter—nothing was reported stolen.
Surveillance officers in the area later “spotted an SUV believed to be involved, and after a short chase the suspects were apprehended,” KABC reported. Four suspects were arrested.
Shortly after news broke of his hospitalization, Dr. Dre posted on Instagram that he is “doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team.” He added that he will be “out of the hospital and back home soon.”
