F-16 Crashes Near Holloman Air Force Base In New Mexico

Otero County, New Mexico — Around 7:15 p.m. last night, an F-16 assigned to the 49th Wing crashed approximately 80 miles southeast of Holloman Air Force Base during a training flight. The pilot successfully ejected from the aircraft and is being treated at a local hospital.

Emergency response teams are on the scene at this time.

The crash is currently under investigation and no cause has been determined.

A board of qualified officers will investigate the accident.
