DUBLIN, Ohio — Dublin Police responded to Dublin Methodist Hospital on reports of a threat of an active shooter early this afternoon. Units responded to a 911 call at 12:21 indicating a possible security issue at the hospital.

That initial communication was determined to be a ‘miscommunication,’ police said. Out of an abundance of caution, Dublin Police and officers from surrounding agencies cleared the hospital floor by floor.

Police emphasize there is no emergency, and there was no actual threat or danger to the public. The hospital is open and operating under business as usual this afternoon.
