FDA advisers on Tuesday endorsed Pfizer’s low-dose COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11.

Now, the recommendation will be considered by the FDA – which could green-light the jabs for kids within days. Also in the coming days, a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) advisory panel will deliver their own recommendation.

CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky has said she’s eager to give the OK, and vaccine doses for young children could begin immediately.

This is breaking news update.
