Flight 3613 operated by United Airlines was delayed in Vermont Sunday afternoon due to a threatening note found in one of the bathrooms.

The flight departed from Newark and was scheduled to arrive at Burlington International Airport in Vermont at 4:30 p.m.

When the crew notified air traffic control of a threat to the aircraft about 20 minutes before landing, emergency response protocol was initiated, and law enforcement assessed the situation upon landing.

The Vermont State Police bomb squad was activated to assist local authorities.

After investigations, law enforcement found nothing suspicious, and the 65 passengers were briefed on the situation and deplaned just after 7 p.m.

The airport was closed during the incident but was reopened for all air traffic at 7:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.
