A former firefighter has spoken out for the first time about the horrifying ordeal when he was sexually assaulted with a chorizo by fellow volunteers.

Jason Waldeck, aged 20, was attacked at the volunteer headquarters in Waxahachie, in Texas, in January, in a gruesome initiation ceremony.

Five men, ranging in age from 19 to 30, were charged with aggravated sexual assault, while a 23-year-old woman was charged with improper visual recording.

Speaking for the first time, Mr Waldeck said: ‘I was just sickened. I couldn’t get the shame and embarrassment out my head’.

In the recording, the men can be heard ‘yelling and laughing with excitement’ while he was held down against his will and bent over a couch.

He told KXAS-TV: ‘I want to try and stay strong but it still gets to me. Two or three of them grabbed me from the chair and took me over to the couch and they got on top of me.

‘[Then] somebody in the room said “I’ve got a broomstick” and that’s when it crossed my mind what they were about to do.’

Investigators said Preston Thomas Peyrot, 19, Alec Chase Miller, 28, Casey Joe Stafford, 30, Blake Jerold Tucker, 20, and Keith Edward Wisakowsky, 27, then decided to use a chorizo sausage instead.

He went on: ‘I hit the ground and I threw up. I was just sickened. They didn’t think I would ever turn them in.’

Eight people were indicted for their roles in the gruesome initiation ceremony.

They are all set to appear in court on December 1.
