From Sports Illustrated: “A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Pierre-Paul returned from an injury-shortened 2013 to play all 16 games in 2014, recording 77 tackles, 12.5 sacks and three forced fumbles.

The Giants placed their franchise tag on Pierre-Paul in March, guaranteeing that their 2010 first-round draft pick will make at least $14.813 million next season unless the two sides agree on a longer-term deal by July 15.

Over five seasons, Pierre-Paul has recorded 286 tackles, 42 sacks and eight forced fumbles.”

In 2012, U.S. hospital emergency rooms treated an estimated 8,700 people for fireworks related injuries; 55% of 2012 emergency room fireworks-related injuries were to the extremities and 31% were to the head.
