Suspect In Custody After Active Shooter, Hostage Situation at Washington State Car Dealership

**UPDATE: Suspect is in custody after exchanging gunfire with deputies. Suspect was wearing body armor & is believed to have been hit by a round fired by cops**

SPANAWAY, Wash. — Multiple law enforcement agencies were responding to an active shooter situation at a car dealership in Pierce County, Washington Thursday night.

The incident is unfolding at ‘Sky Motors’ in the Parkland area–13401 Pacific Ave South. A SWAT Team was on scene.

Police say the armed suspect entered the business and took at least one person hostage. The suspect fired multiple rounds inside business before the hostage was rescued by deputies.

The suspect continued to fire off numerous rounds at deputies across Pacific Ave., he was believed to be barricading himself inside the business.

Police believe all officers are accounted for at this time.

The public was being urged to stay out of the area.
