According to The Columbian, “The suspect is described as an 80-year-old white male, glasses, beard, wearing a hat, and a tan and blue jacket; they believe they know the identity of the shooter. He is believed to be a resident of the building. Police have spoken with him via phone.”
The suspect was later taken into custody after communicating with a police negotiator. A motive remains unknown.
