Kern County, California — The Kern County Sheriff’s Office was on scene of an incident at a business in the Buttonwillow area Wednesday.
Deputies were called at 3am to the business on the 13600 block of Highway 33 for an armed man on the roof. Police say he does have a weapon.
Deputies have been trying to communicate, and get the man peacefully and safely off the roof.
The business has been evacuated, and traffic is blocked off on the impacted block.
The Crisis Negotiation Team, and multiple agencies are on scene.
