Annandale, Virginia — There was a massive police response at a hospital in Annandale Tuesday after reports of a shooting.
Officers responded to Inova Fairfox Hospital when a patient was reported to be armed with a gun.
Local media reports the male suspect may have shot himself.
Responding officers were briefly in a standoff at the room. Police say the incident is contained and not considered and active shooter incident.

The wounded person was later detained and was receiving medial care.
Inova Fairfax Hospital is the largest hospital in Northern Virginia and the flagship hospital of Inova Health System. Located in Woodburn in Fairfax County.
