ADA, OKLAHOMA — Officials say a man fatally shot his neighbor Friday afternoon in an attempt to save the life of infant twins.
The father of the twins was reportedly threatening his wife with a knife as he tried to drown his 3-month-old infant twins in a bathtub—that’s when a 12-year-old girl fled the home and asked a neighbor for help.
The neighbor later told police he shot 27-year-old Leland Foster twice after he saw him holding the babies underwater.
The twins, a male and a female, were taken to the hospital in stable condition. Foster was killed.
The shooting is under investigation by the District Attorney.
