LOS ANGELES — A 43-year-old Long Beach man pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy.
Andrew Bueno-Potts, a.k.a. Drew Bueno-Potts, 43, pleaded to one count of sodomy of a person under 18.
Under the terms of the negotiated plea agreement, Bueno-Potts is expected to be sentenced to two years in state prison and will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
The sexual assault occurred at the Bueno-Potts’ residence when he let the victim live with him between July and August 2017, prosecutors said. At the time of the offense, Bueno-Potts was a high school teacher in Huntington Beach but the victim was not a student at that school.
The case was investigated by Long Beach Police Department.
