Homicide Investigators Release Video In Murder of Texas Man

HOUSTON, TX — Homicide investigators are releasing surveillance video of suspects and the late model Dodge Dakota Club Cab they used in a homicide on November 6th, 2018 in north Harris County.

On the evening of Tuesday, November 6th, at 11:23 p.m., deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constables office were dispatched to a shooting at a residence, located at 2326 Kolby Way, in the Werrington Way subdivision.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they located the victim 36-year-old Kendale Hopkins deceased inside the residence.

HCSO Homicide responded to the scene, to conduct the investigation.

A review of the home’s surveillance video showed two males approached the victim’s residence on foot from S. Werrington Way.

A pickup truck pulled into the driveway and bumped the victim’s car.

The victim exited his residence and confronted the driver.

The two other males shot at the victim as he retreated into his residence.

The three suspects fled the scene in the pickup truck.

The Dodge Dakota has aftermarket features, a chrome billeted gas cover and an aluminum Tail Gate extender on top.

There is also a large circular decal in the middle of the back window.
