Horrifying store surveillance video shows savage stabbing, machete attack at Calif. liquor store

FREMONT, Calif. – Video shows a fight inside a liquor store where at least one of the suspects had a machete and the others had knives. The incident occurred at CJ’s Liquor and Wine in Fremont.

“On Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 10:30 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 4900 block of Stevenson on a report of a stabbing involving eight people,” Fremont police wrote in a press release. “We have identified and arrested two male juvenile suspects and two adult male suspects.”

“All involved parties have been identified and are either in-custody or at a hospital under police observation. We do not believe that there is a public safety threat as this incident involved parties that are all known to each other. This incident is not believed to be gang-related. ”

“Fremont police detectives have arrested Diadem Velcu (27) out of Fremont for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy. A second adult male remains hospitalized, he will be booked on charges once released from the hospital.”

“The victims in this incident were paying at the register of a liquor store when they were attacked by four suspects with who they had previous history. Three of the suspects were armed with knives and a machete.”

All injured victims are expected to recover.
