Indiana Woman Arrested on Child Porn Charges Following Search Warrant

Kosciusko County, IND. — A search warrant was served on the morning of January 17, 2019, that ended with the arrest of a Claypool woman on several charges.

Detective Eric Fields, a member of the Indiana State Police Crimes Against Children Task Force, began an investigation several months ago after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. This investigation ultimately led to a search warrant being served at a residence located at 107 North Rebecca Street in Claypool.

Roselyn B. Burkhart, 38 of Claypool, Indiana, was arrested for preliminary charges of two counts of Child Exploitation, Level 4 Felony, Possession of Child Pornography, Level 5 Felony, and Possession of Child Pornography, Level 6 Felony. Burkhart was taken to the Kosciusko County Jail.

WANE reported: Police determined the child porn was on Roselyn Burkhart’s cell phone.

On that phone, police found scenes that showed young children involved in sexual conduct, the affidavit said.

Roselyn Burkhart admitted to downloading child porn from the internet to Chad Burkhart’s instant messaging mobile app Kik, according to the affidavit. She then sent the images to her cell phone through his Facebook Messenger app, the affidavit said.
