Investigation Ongoing After Suspicious Letter Delivered To Alhambra City Hall In Calif.

CALIFORNIA — City Hall in Alhambra has been closed and First street is closed in both directions after a suspicious letter was discovered.

The package was reported to police around 11:30 this morning. The Alhambra Police Department made the follwing statement on Facebook: “Alhambra City Hall is temporarily closed due to a suspicious letter being found. APD and AFD are on scene along with Hazmat teams and other allied agencies assisting in the investigation.

First Street in closed in both directions. We will provide an update when we obtain further information.”

A Hazmat Team is assisting police in the investigation. No further details were available.

Alhambra is a city located in the western San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County, California, United States, approximately eight miles from the Downtown Los Angeles civic center. It was incorporated on July 11, 1903.
