Nandi Cain Jr. was heading home from work when an officer stopped him for jaywalking. The Sacramento Police Department is investigating one it its own for slamming Cain to the ground. The incident escalated when Cain removed his jacket, he says, to prove he did not have a gun. The Sacramento Police Department claims in a statement, “The actions that were observed are not indicative of the dedicated women and men who work for the Department.”
