AKRON, Ohio - A plane crashed into an apartment building in Akron on Tuesday, police said.

TEXAS — An Iraqi refugee was arrested by federal authorities Thursday in connection to an alleged terror plot in Houston.

Officials didn’t immediately give details or issue a press release but Governor Abbott told the Houston Chronicle the suspect is accused of providing support to terrorists, including connections to ISIS.

The suspect’s name was not released. He was living in Houston and had connections to Milwaukee and Sacramento. According to the Sacramento Bee, two other terror suspects were arrested in those cities.

“There is no current threat to public safety associated with this arrest. More information will be released when the defendant makes his initial appearance tomorrow,” a government spokesperson told ABC13.

“This is precisely why I called for a halt to refugees entering the U.S. from countries substantially controlled by terrorists,” Abbott said in a statement to the Chronicle. “I once again urge the President to halt the resettlement of these refugees in the United States until there is an effective vetting process that will ensure refugees do not compromise the safety of Americans and Texans.”
