Two infant twins, a boy and a girl, were found dead at a housing project in Queens, New York Thursday.
Cops were called to the scene at the Woodside Houses in Woodside around 3:00 p.m. local time for a welfare check.
According to WNBC, citing sources, a “relative called 911 […] after they hadn’t heard from the mother and wanted to know where the young children were.”
NYPD officers found the babies unresponsive and took their 23-year-old mother in for questioning. Reports say the children were less than a month old.
No charges have yet been filed.
