MOBILE, Ala. – The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lieutenant Tuesday.
The department released the following statement:
Today, May 15, 2018, LT. Paul Bailey, was arrested and charged with Rape 1st, Rape 2nd, Sodomy 2nd and 2 counts of Sexual Abuse. District Attorney Ashley Rich contacted Sheriff Cochran and made him aware of the in-formation brought to her office about Lt. Bailey.
The DA turned information over to the Alabama State Bureau of Investigations. SBI presented to a Grand Jury and Lt. Bailey has been charged and booked into Metro Jail.
“We are continuing to work with SBI on this investigation and will begin our disciplinary procedures immediately,” said Sheriff Sam Cochran.
