SARASOTA, FLORIDA — Sarasota Police Officers have arrested and charged Spencer D. Sanders, II, age 39, of 944 42nd Street, Sarasota, with murder, in connection with the death of his wife, Blanka Sanders, on Wednesday evening.
On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 6 p.m, Sarasota Police Officers responded to 944 42nd Street, Sarasota, to assist the Sarasota County Fire Department with an injured person. The victim’s daughter went to the victim’s residence to check on her mother due to her being unreachable during the day and found her deceased.
Detectives located Sanders and transported him to the Sarasota Police Department Headquarters for an interview. Following the interview, Sanders was arrested and charged with murder.
Sanders was arrested for domestic battery by strangulation by Sarasota Police in May 2018. He’s currently being held in the Sarasota County Jail.
Officers also said the victim was stabbed.
