Suspect Arrested in Shooting of 4 People in Downtown Las Vegas

News release – (LVMPD) — On May 29, 2016 at approximately 6:19 a.m., LVMPD patrol officers responded to the 200 block of north 3rd Street to investigate reports of a shooting. Responding officers located four adult victims, two males and two females, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victims were transported to the University Medical Center Hospital where one male victim is listed in critical condition.

The investigation initiated by the Downtown Area Command’s Investigative Section indicates that two unknown suspects were having a verbal argument on the sidewalk. As the victims walked by them, the two groups exchanged some words.

At some point, one of the suspects entered a white sedan parked nearby and retrieved a handgun. The suspect then fired at the victims striking them.

The two suspects then got into the white sedan and fired at the victims again as the sped away.

Detectives have identified 32 year old Pierre Devlin as the shooter in this incident. Devlin was arrested on May 31, 2016 in the downtown area without incident.

He was transported to Clark County Detention Center and is charged with the following:
-5 counts of Attempted Murder
-4 counts of Battery with a Deadly Weapon
-2 counts of Discharging a Firearm
-Conspiracy to Commit Murder
