Va. school teacher already facing unlawful filming charges, now facing child porn charges

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A woman went to the Fair Oaks District Police Station to report she had found a hidden camera in an air conditioning vent at a home where she was working. Detectives investigated and found evidence of unlawful filming. Raphael Schklowsky, 36, of Reston, was charged with four misdemeanor counts of unlawful filming.

Detectives have now charged Schklowsky with 20 felony charges of possession of child pornography and one felony charge of unlawful filming.

After Schklowsky was charged on April 8 with four misdemeanor counts of unlawful filming, detectives discovered additional evidence on multiple electronic devices, including over 3,500 videos.

Schklowsky was out on bond and attended his hearing today at the Fairfax County Courthouse for his previous four charges of unlawful filming. At his hearing, he was charged with 21 additional offenses. Schklowsky was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff’s Office and held on no bond.

Schklowsky previously worked as a drama teacher at Herndon High School and has been on leave since his arrest April 8.
