LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Lexington Police Department is investigating the case of a man who was found dead at his home on Radcliffe Road. The body of Demetrius Gordon, 28, was discovered Wednesday, January 16, as firefighters worked to extinguish a fire in Gordon’s garage. An autopsy Thursday concluded that Gordon died of sharp force trauma before the fire started.

A detective with the Lexington Police Homicide Unit today charged Christina Young, 22, with Murder, Arson 2nd, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

The investigation found that Young had previously been in a romantic relationship with the victim, Demetrius Gordon. She is accused of stabbing Gordon to death on January 16, 2019, then setting his garage and house on Radcliffe Road on fire.

Young is currently lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
