On October 18, 2022, at approximately 12:38 p.m., LVMPD patrol officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 5200 block of Tipper Avenue. Arriving officers located an adult male near a doorway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicates the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with his neighbor over parking. During the dispute, the victim’s neighbor produced a firearm and shot him. The suspect fled the area prior to officers’ arrival.
Detectives identified 40-year-old Robert Salone as the suspect in this case. On November 22, Salone was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder with a deadly weapon.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
