Hillsboro, OR (KBMD)– An investigation is ongoing after a Washington County Sheriff’s deputy stabbed a man several times after the man allegedly tried to take the deputy’s gun. The incident happened at the Kaiser Permanente Westside Medical Center [on October 24, 2022.] While being admitted to the hospital, the Sheriff’s Office says the man charged the deputy and tried to take his gun. He allegedly ignored orders to stop and kept trying to get the gun. During the struggle, the deputy stabbed the man several times. The deputy never lost control of the gun and no shots were fired. The man was taken to another hospital for treatment. His condition hasn’t been released.
