Union City, NEW JERSEY — A garbage truck crashed off an overpass onto Route 495 Wednesday, injuring multiple people near the Lincoln Tunnel.
The incident happened around 1:00 p.m. near Pleasant Avenue in Weekhawken Twp.
The City of Union City sanitation truck came to a rest upside-down against a wall.
Two workers inside the truck were wounded and at least five others in a Bolt Bus were also hurt.
All lanes of Route 495 westbound were blocked and eastbound was extremely slow.
