LIVE: Active Shooter at LA County Fire Station

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. – An active shooter was reported at an Agua Dulce fire station Tuesday.

One person was killed and another was wounded at Fire Station 81 in the 8700 block of Sierra Highway.

“It is with heavy hearts that the LACoFD confirms that a tragic shooting occurred at approximately 10:55 a.m. today at FS 81 in Agua Dulce,” the Los Angeles County Fire Department wrote on Twitter.

The suspect is believed to be a disgruntled employee who later set fire to his own home, KABC reported.

Shortly after the gunfire, police responded to the house fire in the 2600 block of Bent Spur Drive.

Local news helicopter pilots reported a lifeless body in or near an empty pool at the residence. It was unclear if this was the shooter.

Initial scanner reports indicated the suspect was a white male driving a Toyota Tundra.
