Man had more than 27,000 images and 1,300 videos depicting child porn, feds say

OHIO — A Sylvania man was indicted on child pornography charges after investigators found him with more than 27,000 images of child sexual exploitation and more than 1,300 videos.

Mark Koltz, 27, was indicted on one count of receipt and distribution of child pornography.

Investigators determined that a series of downloads of child pornography originated from a home on Hawthorne drive in Sylvania. A search and forensic examination of computers seized at the home identified approximately 27,682 images of child sexual exploitation and approximately 1,306 videos, including images and videos of bestiality and toddlers being raped by adults, according to court documents.

If convicted, the defendant’ssentence will be determined by the Court after reviewing factors unique to this case, including the defendant’s prior criminal record, if any, the defendant’s role in the offense and the characteristics of the violation. In all cases the sentence will not exceed the statutory maximum and in most cases it will be less than the maximum.
