NEW JERSEY — On June 4, 2019, detectives from the Special Victims Unit of the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor arrested Oscar Juracan-Juracan, age 26, of North Bergen, in connection with an aggravated sexual assault during a burglary which occurred inside a residence on 4th Avenue in North Bergen on the morning of May 25, 2019.
Juracan-Juracan has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assaul, first-degree crimes; Burglary, a second-degree crime; Terroristic Threats, a third-degree crime; and Simple Assault.
Juracan-Juracan is scheduled to make his first appearance on these charges on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
On May 25, 2019, members of the Prosecutor’s Office SVU and the North Bergen Police Department responded to a report of a sexual assault on 4th Avenue in North Bergen. A 49-year-old female victim reported that she was awakened and sexually assaulted by an unknown male.
Prosecutor Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit for the investigation and subsequent arrest with assistance from the North Bergen Police Department.
