PORTLAND, Oregon — Police continue to investigate an apparent suicide that occurred Tuesday.
Preliminary information suggests a man jumped from the Burnside Bridge onto the I-84 westbound ramp to southbound I-5. The man fell onto a passing truck. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The driver of the truck was not issued any citations.
All lanes of the freeway were later reopened.
The Major Crash Team is working with the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office during the investigation.
