MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A Whitehaven man was indicted Thursday in the death of a customer who was shot nearly a dozen times outside a tire shop last year on Knight Arnold Road near Getwell Road, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.

A grand jury indicted Jerome Jamison, 28, on two counts of first-degree murder. He is being held without bond in the Shelby County Jail.

The incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on Oct. 3, 2021, outside the Brothers Tire Service and Towing where surveillance cameras recorded the shooting.

Investigators said Jamison, who frequently visited the store, began arguing with customer Milton Davidson outside the business and then began firing an assault-style rifle at him. After Davidson went down, Jamison pulled a handgun from the victim’s waistband and shot him several more times.

Davidson, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jamison was arrested two days later, asleep in a truck on Arnold Cove in the Oakhaven area near Memphis International Airport.
