Tuesday’s death of Timothy Tyler, 61, outside an office building at 1801 West End Avenue, appears accidental, police say.
Midtown Hills Precinct officers were called to the location at 11:15 a.m. Tyler was attempting to remove the caulk around a concrete section on an exterior wall near the loading docks when it fell on him. Tyler, who was employed by Architectural Glass and Metal Company Inc., was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died.
The Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
