About 7:30 p.m., Marquis Demetria Isabelle, 20, was visiting the home of Michael Matthews in the 13800 block of Northlake, said HPD spokeswoman Jodi Silva. Standing in the driveway, they started arguing over who would drive Matthews’ vehicle.
“The suspect went back into the house, retrieved a gun and shot the victim in the chest,” Silva said.
Isabelle died at the scene. Matthews was at the home when police arrived.
In a search of his home, police found “a large amount” of narcotics and money, Silva said.
Matthews, whose age was not available, was charged with murder and possession of a controlled substance.
