LAS VEGAS — On Saturday, at 8:54 a.m. LVMPD received a call from a nine year old reporting that her mother was unconscious. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Dealers Choice Way to investigate. In one of the bedrooms, arriving officers located an adult female with an apparent gunshot wound lying in a pool of blood. Medical personnel were summoned and they pronounced the woman deceased on scene.
Detectives with the LVMPD Homicide Section have identified former boyfriend, with whom the victim has children in common, as 41-year-old Christopher G. Caggiano, a state corrections officer, as the suspect in this case.
Detectives say the victim and their children had been temporarily staying with Caggiano in the 4600 block of Dealers Choice Way. The night of July 13, 2018, the couple was having an argument when they went to bed. On the morning of July 14, 2018, Christopher G. Caggiano and his vehicle were gone from the residence.
Caggiano is believed to be driving his vehicle, which is described as a 2017 White Nissan
Rogue SUV with Nevada license plate 69B230.
