Missing Iowa Woman Calls Police From Vermont

REMSEN, Iowa — On Monday, The Remsen Police Department took a report of a missing woman identified as 27 year-old Nicole Ann Trometer of Remsen, Iowa. The Remsen Police Department, Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, and the Le Mars Police Department searched the area and were unable to locate Trometer. Trometer has two vehicles that were not located.

Trometer was last seen in Le Mars Iowa with Daniel Kittredge (Age 34).

At or about 12:30 PM on Tuesday, Trometer contacted Iowa Law Enforcement Officials and advised she was in Vermont. Law Enforcement requested she go to the nearest Law Enforcement Agency and positively identify herself. As of 1:20 PM, The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office in Vermont confirmed that they spoke with Trometer and positively identified her by her Iowa Driver’s License. Franklin County authorities advised she was in good health, she told Vermont authorities she traveled with Kittredge willingly to Vermont.

The missing person’s investigation will be closed.
