Missouri Woman Charged After Fleeing The Scene Of High Speed Crash And Leaving Her Baby

WATCH: (Scroll Down For Video) A Missouri woman has been charged after leading police on a high-speed chase with her baby in the back seat.

Police confirmed that Shaneece Marshall was driving in a reckless manner and led police on a high-speed pursuit before she crashed into a pole.

Marshall took off running and hid in a nearby restaurant where police found and arrested her.

Police located a baby in a car seat inside of the crashed car.

When Marshall was questioned, she told officers she did not want to get caught in a stolen car.

She has been charged with seven counts including endangering the welfare of a child, property damage and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

The St Louis Metropolitan Police Department did not release any further details.
