One of the victims in the Bradley investigation attempted suicide.

After Bradley’s arrest, investigators initiated an investigation into Bradley’s mother Rosemary Burkett of Godwin Rd., Chipley. After interviews with family members and witnesses, Burkett made “several negative comments” to the victim about the accusations into her sons’ charges, accusing the victim of lying to law enforcement about her son, deputies said.

Burkett allegedly said to the victim that her son is an ordained minister, and that the victim would be punished and live a life of misery for the accusations made against her son. Burkett made “several other negative comments to the victim which made the victim feel as if no one believed them and resulted in the victim attempting to take their own life,” deputies said.

The victim spent several days in a Pensacola hospital where they have since been released. Officials didn’t reveal the details of the suicide attempt.

Sheriff Crews said, “I take these reports very serious and will go above and beyond in assisting the prosecution of such people to the fullest extent of the law.”
