NASHVILLE – Undercover detectives assigned to the Specialized Investigations Division’s TITANS (The Investigative Team Addressing Neighborhood Shootings) Unit today arrested Redear Haji, 24, for the January 27 fatal shooting of Amanda McComb, 33, during a burglary at 105 Evelyn Drive. Haji was taken into custody at a Brockman Lane residence.

Continued investigation by Homicide Unit detectives into the circumstances of the shooting led to Haji being charged with criminal homicide.

During an interview following the shooting, Haji told detectives that he retrieved his handgun after discovering McComb inside his garage. Haji said he fired at McComb after she climbed out an open garage window and turned to face him while reaching for something. Surveillance video from a neighboring residence shows McComb running away when she was shot. No weapons were found on McComb.

Haji admitted that the marijuana found inside a backpack lying next to McComb belonged to him. He is being held without bond.
