NEW: FBI Releases Video of NC Murder Suspect Who Killed Store Owner In ‘Cold Blood’

CHARLOTTE, NC — The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are offering a new reward and releasing additional information to identify the suspect who shot the owner of a cell phone store on January 14, 2019, during a robbery. The owner of the FixEr Electronic Store, Elchin Khalilov, died from his injuries.

The unidentified suspect walked into the store located at 3145 North Amity Road in Charlotte, North Carolina, and immediately pulled out a weapon and pointed it at Khalilov. Seconds later the suspect shot the victim, robbed the store, and left the scene. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. The FBI is offering an additional reward of up to $10,000 for a total reward of $15,000.

The suspect is described as a tall, slim, black male. The suspect wore a distinctive hoodie with the word “LOVE” written on both sleeves. The top part of the hoodie is white or light colored; the bottom and the word “LOVE” are grey. He wore black Levi’s jeans and black sneakers. He was captured on surveillance video walking to the store and going inside.
