NEW JERSEY — Shooting incident starts at minute 8:00 of video. Police dash and body cam videos show a June 7, 2019, traffic stop in Union that turned into a brief chase on Route 22, followed by a search of a Mountainside neighborhood that ended in the shooting of Lester Krek.
The suspect was taken to University Hospital in Newark with non-life-threatening injuries. He is charged with second-degree disarming a police officer, second-degree eluding police and third-degree resisting arrest.
