New York Man Shot Dog For No Apparent Reason, Police Say

NEW YORK — On Wednesday, New York State Police arrested Marvin L. Wells, 64 of Amity, NY for Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, a felony.

On April 21, 2018, SP Amity Troopers responded to Stryker Rd in the town of Amity for a report of a dog possibly being shot.

Police say Wells ‘shot a canine for no legitimate purpose with a firearm.’

Wells was arrested and was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to the town of Amity Court on May 2, 2018.
