PORTVILLE, N.Y. — On News Year’s Day, around 1:30 A.M., Troopers were called to a “violent domestic incident” by the Cattaraugus Sheriff’s Office on Yubadam Road in Portville, NY.
After arriving at the home and speaking with the victim, a male suspect, later identified as Ryan T. Ehman, 40, advanced towards Troopers armed with a bow and arrow. Troopers gave several commands to drop the weapon, and after he failed to comply, he was shot.
Ehman was taken into custody and transported to Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight for injuries.
Criminal charges are pending.
