PEACH COUNTY, GA. — This footage, provided by the District Attorney’s Office, shows the events that took place when Peach County deputies Daryl Smallwood and Patrick Sondron responded to a call about a man threatening people’s lives on Nov. 6, 2016. Both deputies were killed.
The suspect, Ralph Elrod, avoided a potential death penalty trial and was sentenced to two life in prison without parole terms plus 100 years.
