LAS VEGAS — (Scroll Down For Video) —  Assistant Sheriff Tim Kelly released video of the October 10, 2018 officer involved shooting that occurred at Rainbow Boulevard and Gary Avenue.

At 7:31 a.m. LVMPD traffic Officer Kenneth Pillette and Officer Chad Betts arrived at a three car collision, where two of the drivers believed the at fault driver, later identified as 21-year-old Kenneth Busse, was possibly impaired. Busse was asked by Officer Betts to complete a field sobriety test to determine if he was impaired, but refused.

As Officer Betts attempted to take Busse into custody, he ran to a small bush 12 yards away. Busse picked up a black firearm that he had hidden prior to officers arriving on scene. Officer Betts saw the firearm and ran to cover. Busse chambered a round in his firearm and aimed it towards the officers. Busse and both officers exchanged gunfire. One of the rounds fired by the officers struck Busse in the chest, causing him to fall to the ground.
