NJ teen charged with murder of 14-year-old boy, prosecutor says

Camden, N.J. – Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer says an arrest has been made in the homicide of a 14-year-old boy.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested Friday afternoon at a home in Camden. He has been charged with first degree murder.

Officers found the victim on the 2000 block of Berwick Street at 10:44 p.m. on October 29th suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim succumbed to his injuries at Cooper Hospital at 11:12 p.m.

The juvenile, who was not identified due to his age, is currently jailed in the Camden County Youth Detention Center.

No further information was released.
