On Tuesday, the New York State Police in Malta arrested 27 year old Stephanie L. Pease for two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Pease is accused of leaving her 2 year old and 8 month old children unattended in an unlocked, running, and un-air conditioned vehicle for 33 minutes while she shopped at a Town of Malta grocery store.
The temperature on the date of incident was approximately 83 degrees and a heat advisory for Southern Saratoga county was in effect.
Pease was released with an appearance ticket to re-appear in the Town of Malta court on 9/4/19 at 9:30 AM.
