NYPD Cops Save 1-Year-Old Baby

Queens, New York – At the end of their tour on January 9th, Police Officers Piteo and Pecoraro of the NYPD 114 Precinct responded to a call of an unresponsive 1-year-old boy. Upon arriving at the baby’s home, Officer Piteo’s department training immediately kicked in and she began to perform CPR.

As Officer Piteo attempted to revive little Dylan, Officer Pecoraro communicated with EMS. After central informed him that they were approximately nine minutes away from the location, he coordinated with other units to set up an escort route to Elmhurst General Hospital. While on the way to the hospital, Officer Pecoraro continued performing CPR. The medical staff at Elmhurst General Hospital was able to fully resuscitate Dylan.

Thanks to the quick actions of Officers Piteo and Pecoraro, Dylan is expected to make a full recovery.
