Earlier today, the NYPD received information from a retired New York City police officer who “observed suspicious activity in the parking lot of Midland Beach in Staten island.” The retired officer photographed this activity and supplied the pictures to the NYPD’s Intelligence Bureau for Investigation. The photos show a man and a woman holding what looks similar to semi-automatic rifles.

NYPD BOLO ALERT
A bulletin was issued to law enforcement agencies to look out for the two vehicles and individuals from the pictures to interview them.

NYPD firearms experts have looked over the photographs and have come to the conclusion that they strongly resemble replicas of firearms used to take part in paintball games. Interviews from the NYPD and FBI  have revealed that the owner of the vehicles intended to go paintballing.
